Overview of Article

1. This article has instructions on how to set up and log into your Modal Desk account.
2. This article will cover common mistakes made when setting up a new Modal Desk account.
3. This article will cover resetting your Modal Desk account password.
   
   • A password cannot be reset unless all the steps for setting up a new Desk account are completed.

Create Password - Check your Inbox

•  In your inbox, you should locate an email that states "Welcome to Modal Dashboard" from [email protected]
  • Below is an example of the "Welcome to Modal Dashboard" email.
• In this email, you will be given a temporary password in bold text.
  • Copy that password.
    • NOTE: Make sure to copy all characters (including special characters) if they are in bold text.
• Click on the complete your Modal dashboard registration link.

• Once you click the link, you will be redirected to the https://dashboard.modalup.com/signup page.
• Please enter the following:
  • Account email address: Your Email 
  • Temporary Password 
    
    • This is the password you've copied. 

• Once you have completed creating your account you will then be prompted to create your own password.
• Take care to follow all the requirements or your password won't be accepted.

• Once your password is created you will be automatically logged into your account. 
• You're now logged into Modal Desk!

Reset your password

• To reset your password utilize the "Forgot your password?" link below the sign in form.

• This will take you to a page where you will enter the email address associated with your account.
• Clicking "Continue" will take you to the page where you will reset your password.
  • NOTE: If you get an error that states "User password cannot be reset in current state", verify that you completed all the steps in Create Password - Check your Inbox section.

• Navigate to your mailbox where you will find an email titled "Modal Dashboard reset password".
• Copy the provided 6 digit confirmation code.

• Navigate back to the reset password page on Modal Desk.
• Paste your 6 digit confirmation code from the "Modal Dashboard reset password" email. 
• Create your new password you will be automatically logged in.
  • Take care to follow all the requirements or your password won't be accepted.
