Why Are Customers In Wisconsin Ineligible for Instant Approval?

Summary

Wisconsin is a marital property state. Currently, Modal does not collect marital status or spouse information for customers in Checkout. Customers residing in Wisconsin are ineligible to be instantly approved for financing or leasing offers in Checkout. Dealerships will still receive leads, orders, and credit applications, where applicable, for the affected customers. 

Who Is Affected?

Customer's using Modal's Checkout and their billing address is in Wisconsin. Dealerships located in Wisconsin can still have customers use Instant Approval, either via RouteOne or DealerTrack, if the customer is not located in Wisconsin. Modal recommends consulting with your Customer Success Manager to determine whether or not Instant Approval should be removed from Checkout.
