Overview

PEN, the Provider Exchange Network, helps provide accurate product data from a dealer’s product provider e-rating system to use in Modal Checkout. Warranties and other products vary significantly in price and availability per vehicle and PEN integration allows for VIN-specific F&I products to be added into Checkout.

Starting the Integration

If your F&I provider is on the list above, submit the following information to [email protected]:

1. Dealership Name
2. F&I Provider
3. PEN id (your F&I representative can provide you with this id)

Modal's support team will create a custom 'menu' that will contain the products and rates available based on 1 in-stock VIN at the time of submission. The recommended amount of products to show in Checkout is 5 and up to 5 coverages for each product for maximum conversion. 

I Don't See Our Provider On The List

If you do not see your F&I provider on the list above, please submit a support ticket to Modal support by emailing [email protected] with the following information:

1. Dealership Name
2. F&I Provider
3. PEN id (your F&I representative can provide you with this id)

If Modal is able to integrate with your provider, please allow at least 90 days for the integration to be completed.

Known Limitations

• Modal does not support GAP products via PEN.
• Links to videos or pdfs are not currently supported.
