Overview
The Trade tool is a flagship product currently offered by Modal. This tool is in the form of a banner that can be displayed on various dealership web pages. A customer is able to enter in the banner their vehicle’s Year, Brand, Model, and Trim. After the customer enters their basic personal information, they will be able to see an Estimate Value of their car. The customer then can get a more exact offer on their vehicle by entering more details, such as registration card and pictures of the vehicle. Also, the customer can then schedule a visit with the dealership or contact the store to move along in the process.
Where does the Trade Estimate Value come from?
Modal is currently integrated with Kelly Blue Book to provide instant pricing for vehicle Trade-In’s. The dealership has the ability to request the preferred range for the price estimates being received. For example, if the value of a Trade-In is said to be between $15,000 - $17,000, Modal can configure the price being shown to the customer as Low, Medium, or High in this range.
How are these Trades sent to the Dealer?
These Trades will be sent to the Dealership’s CRM system so that they can view all of the details. Also, the dealership can log into their Modal Dashboard account and switch to the Trade Tab to view all of the recent Trade-Ins made on their website. Dashboard will display the exact step in the Trade-In process that the customer reached.
What control do I have over the Trade Tool?
Modal has the ability to adjust the color of the Trade banner to match the website style. This banner can also be placed on any page requested by the dealership. The banner can then be moved vertically so that it displays in the exact location the dealership prefers. Trade does not send GA event actions.
Why am I getting trade-in leads as regular leads?
With the Trade tool, it has been noted by dealers that they're getting trade-in leads on a vehicle the user wants to purchase. This is due to a user using the search feature on Trade to look for the vehicle. Please work with your CSM on possible solutions (changing the placement, etc.)
