Shift Digital Partner Programs

  • Each Shift Digital partner program uses a different Shift ADF lead format and Shift lead destination rules.
  • When a dealer enrolls in Modal using one of the following Shift Digital partner programs, in addition to sending Modal-formatted ADF lead emails directly to the dealership CRM, Modal will also send a Shift-formatted copy of each lead directly to Shift Digital: Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Subaru.
  • Therefore, when a Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, or Subaru dealership uses Modal ADF version 2.0, they will receive version 2.0 formatted data in the copy of the lead Modal sends directly to the dealer CRM, but the other copy of the lead sent to Shift Digital will follow the Shift-mandated format.
  • When a dealer enrolls in Modal using the Toyota Shift Digital partner program, Modal will send only the Shift-formatted lead directly to the dealer CRM.
  • Depending on the specific partner program, Shift Digital can forward their copy of each lead to the dealer CRM or not. For the best experience, Modal recommends that the dealer declines to receive the forwarded leads from Shift, and instead uses the latest supported version of Modal's direct-to-crm lead format. The exception to this recommendation is a Toyota dealer, who must receive the Shift-formatted leads sent directly to the dealer's own CRM system.

  • "source" found under "codes" always uses "Drive Motors", and "value" is either "O" or "L" followed by the Modal Transaction ID, depending on whether the user completed Checkout or not

  • Modal - Unlock Price 3070 is used when the customer abandons after submitting their lead information to reveal a discounted price at the beginning of the Modal Checkout session
  • Modal - Trade-In Value 3071 is used when the customer submits their vehicle for an estimated valuation using the Modal Trade product
  • Modal - Financing 3072 is used when the customer abandons their Modal Checkout session after submitting their credit application and viewing lender-approved rates
  • Modal - Saved Details 3073 is used when the customer closes the Modal Checkout window, chooses to "Save" a link to their incomplete Order, and the session does not fit into one of the other above criteria
  • Modal - General / Other 3075 is used for any Modal transaction not covered by the above criteria
