Why are Modal payment calculations off by X dollars?

Overview

Modal gets it's taxes and fees from Payment Driver. When Modal Checkout is first opened, Modal will base taxes and fees off of the dealer's zipcode. Once a user enters their zip code on the Checkout Billing Information page, Modal's payment calculator will dynamically update again.

Payment Driver's values for taxes and fees may not always match perfectly with a Dealership. Modal can hard code taxes and fees to get payment calculation values more in line with what the Dealership wants. Please contact your Modal Customer Success Manager or support at [email protected] to make these changes.
